Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 October 2026 · Version 1.0
Hirome is in development and only takes early access requests today. These Terms apply from the start of the beta. It is being reviewed by a lawyer and may change before then. If the Japanese and English versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.
1. Who we are and who these Terms are for
1.1 These Terms are an agreement between Tokyo Techies Corp. ("we", "us") and the business that signs up for Hirome ("you"). The person who accepts them confirms they have the authority to bind that business.
1.2 Hirome is for business use only. You must be a company, an organisation or a person acting for their trade or profession. Do not use Hirome as a private consumer.
1.3 By creating an account, installing the Hirome Chrome extension, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Words we use
- Service: Hirome, including the web dashboard, the AI writing tools, the Hirome Chrome extension (the "Extension") and our servers.
- Platform: a third-party social network or website you connect to Hirome, such as X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, LinkedIn, TikTok or YouTube.
- Connected Account: your account on a Platform that you connect to Hirome.
- Official mode: Hirome acts through a Platform's official API, using permissions you grant through that Platform's own login (OAuth).
- Assist mode: Hirome acts inside your own Chrome browser through the Extension, on your own computer and internet connection.
- Action: anything Hirome does on a Platform for you, such as publishing a post, liking, following, commenting, replying or sending a message.
- Your Content: text, images, video, files, instructions and settings you give us, and the drafts we create for you.
3. Your account
3.1 Give us true information and keep it up to date.
3.2 Keep your Hirome login safe. Tell us at once at info@tokyotechies.com if you think someone else has used it.
3.3 You are responsible for what happens under your Hirome account, including the people you invite to it.
4. How the Service works
4.1 Official mode. We use only the permissions you approve on the Platform's own screen. You can remove them at any time in the Platform's settings or in Hirome.
4.2 Assist mode. When you turn on Assist mode for a Connected Account:
- Our servers send instructions to the Extension, and the Extension carries them out in your browser, in tabs for the Platforms you connected.
- The Extension shows when Hirome is acting. You can watch everything it does, pause it, and stop it at any time.
- Your browser must stay open and online while Hirome works. If it is closed, Hirome waits.
- The Extension acts only on the Platform websites listed in its settings. It does not read or act on any other website.
- The Extension does not collect your Platform passwords or login cookies and does not send them to us.
4.3 AI drafts. Hirome uses AI models to write posts, comments, replies and messages. AI can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing drafts before you approve them, and for any setting where you allow Actions without approval.
4.4 Approvals and limits. By default, every public comment, reply, quote and message needs your approval, and every type of Action has a daily limit. You may change some settings, within the maximum limits we set. We may lower limits at any time to protect your account.
4.5 We may change, add or remove features. If a change removes a main feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
5. Platform rules and the risk to your accounts
Please read this section carefully.
5.1 Each Platform has its own terms and rules. Many Platforms restrict automated activity, and some forbid it outside their official API. Using Assist mode, or allowing Actions without approval, may be against a Platform's terms.
5.2 A Platform may, at any time and for its own reasons, limit, suspend, lock or close a Connected Account, reduce its reach, or ask for extra verification. We cannot control Platforms, and we do not promise that your Connected Accounts will not be restricted.
5.3 We work to keep this risk low: human approval by default, daily limits, a human pace of activity, stopping when a Platform shows a warning, and never using fake accounts. These reduce risk; they do not remove it.
5.4 You decide whether to use Assist mode, for which accounts, and at what settings. You accept the risk to your Connected Accounts that comes with that choice. We recommend not using Assist mode on an account you cannot afford to lose.
5.5 If a Platform warns, limits or blocks a Connected Account, Hirome will stop acting on it and tell you. Please do not restart it until you have reviewed what happened.
5.6 Platforms may change their APIs or websites at any time. A feature may stop working until we update it.
6. What you must not do
You must not use Hirome to, or let anyone else use it to:
- send bulk unsolicited messages, spam, or messages a recipient has asked not to receive;
- harass, threaten, deceive or impersonate anyone, or post false reviews or fake engagement;
- create or use fake, bought or borrowed accounts, or accounts you are not allowed to use;
- collect personal data in bulk to sell or share with others, or build lists for anyone outside your business;
- break any law, including laws on privacy, advertising, consumer protection, anti-spam (such as Japan's Act on Regulation of Transmission of Specified Electronic Mail) and intellectual property;
- post content that is illegal, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- raise limits or change the Extension or our software to avoid our safety controls;
- copy, reverse engineer, resell or overload the Service, or test its security without our written permission;
- use Hirome for anyone other than your own business, unless your plan allows agency use.
We may stop any Action, remove content from the queue, or suspend your account if we reasonably believe you are breaking this section.
7. Your Content and data
7.1 You keep all rights to Your Content.
7.2 You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, copy, store, change the format of and publish Your Content only to provide and improve the Service for you and as described in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems.
7.3 We do not use Your Content to train AI models offered to other customers, unless you agree in writing.
7.4 You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, including photos of people, music and logos.
7.5 Other people's data. When Hirome works on a Platform, it reads public profiles, posts and messages of other people (for example people who reply to you or who match your target audience). For this data you decide the purpose and the people you engage with, and you are responsible for having a lawful reason to use it under the laws that apply to you. We handle it for you as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Fees and payment
8.1 Fees, billing cycles and plan limits are shown on our pricing page or your order form. Prices are in Japanese yen, and each price shows whether consumption tax is included.
8.2 Fees are paid in advance and are not refunded, except where the law requires or these Terms say so.
8.3 We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. The new price applies from your next billing period.
8.4 If payment fails, we may suspend the Service after giving notice.
9. Beta
9.1 During beta, the Service is offered with free credits and may change often, have errors, or stop without notice.
9.2 Beta users agree to give feedback when we ask. We may use feedback freely to improve the Service, without paying for it.
9.3 We may end the beta for you or for everyone at any time. We will give you at least 14 days to export Your Content where we can.
10. Suspension and ending the agreement
10.1 You may cancel at any time from your settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
10.2 We may suspend or end your access, with notice where reasonable, if you break these Terms, if you do not pay, if a Platform or authority requires it, or if your use puts other users, us or the Service at risk.
10.3 After your account ends, you can export Your Content for 30 days. After that we delete it as described in our Privacy Policy, except what the law requires us to keep.
10.4 Sections 5, 6, 7.5, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16 continue after the agreement ends.
11. What we do not promise
11.1 We provide the Service with reasonable skill and care. Apart from what these Terms state, we provide it "as is".
11.2 We do not promise any result, such as followers, leads, reach or sales, or that Platforms will accept every Action.
11.3 We are not responsible for Platforms, including their decisions about your Connected Accounts, their API changes, or their outages.
12. Limits on our liability
12.1 Except as stated in 12.3, our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim (or JPY 10,000 if you paid nothing).
12.2 Except as stated in 12.3, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of a Connected Account, loss of followers or reach, or any indirect or special loss.
12.3 Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under the law.
13. Your responsibility to us
If a third party (including a Platform) makes a claim against us because of Your Content, your settings, or your breach of these Terms or a Platform's terms, you will cover our reasonable losses and legal costs from that claim. We will tell you about the claim promptly and let you take part in the defence.
14. No anti-social forces
Each party confirms that it, its officers and its major shareholders are not, and have no relationship with, organised crime groups or other anti-social forces (反社会的勢力). If this is untrue, the other party may end the agreement at once without notice.
15. Changes to these Terms
15.1 We may change these Terms when needed, for example because of new features, Platform rule changes or new laws.
15.2 We will publish the new Terms and tell you by email or in the dashboard, together with the date they take effect, at least 30 days before (or sooner if the law or a Platform requires it). If you keep using the Service after that date, the new Terms apply. If you do not agree, you may cancel before that date.
16. Law and courts
16.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
16.2 The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any dispute.
16.3 If these Terms exist in Japanese and English, the Japanese version prevails.
